Help!
This page is what constitutes the user manual for lgSHOUT! To be quite honest, you’re better off having a play around. Nonetheless, here’s the answers to some questions you might have…

1. How do I get a photo next to my shouts?
Go to Gravatar and sign up with the same email address that you used to register here. It’s pretty straightforward and after half an hour or so your visage will be adorning your every shout. Lovely.
2. I want to change my password. How’s that done?
Visit your profile page when logged in and you can do it there. Whilst you’re at it, you can change the name that appears next to your shouts, too.
3. I want to include bold text and inline links in my shouts. Surely that’s possible?
It is, but it isn’t really the point of this site. However, if you insist: post your shout, and when it appears on the front page, click the little ‘e’ that’s above the text. This takes you into the full-blown editor, which you can use to do all sorts of exciting things with your text.
4. Why aren’t my shouts appearing?
As a spam prevention measure, all new users have their first few shouts moderated by a human bean (that’ll be me). After that, they should appear straight away. If you aren’t a new user, and all of a sudden things have stopped working, I suspect something might be broken. Please shout about it if this happens.
5. Argh! I’ve logged in and everything looks terribly complicated!
Just click the link at the top of the screen that says ‘View site>>’. What you are looking at is the main control panel for WordPress, the software this site runs on.
6. How can I comment on a shout?
Next to the details of the author and date and time of the shout, there is a link which is a number - that’s the number of comments that shout has. Click that, and you’ll to magicked away to a screen with comment functionality on it.
